RAINBOWS BRIDGE

This section of our web site is dedicated to the loss of our pets. It is certainly right to grieve but we should also celebrate the new peace and great memories we had for all those wonderful years as they cross over the Rainbows Bridge. Be sure to visit RainbowsBridge.com and remember the love.

Molly O'Malley (1997 - 2010)

We lost a beautiful and close pet friend on November 4, Molly O'Malley. Molly was almost 13 years old and was the daughter of Susan O'Malley. She passed from complications with her gal bladder after experiencing pancreatic problems this last year.

Molly was a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, full of life, and constantly yapping with love looking for any human interaction or cookie. She was very social with kids and and other dogs and made you want to just squeeze her up.

Her brother Maxi would normally hang out on the floor and snore his day away so Molly would spend her time up on her personal pillow and futon. If you sat down on her belongings or stole her spot she let you know it!

If you would like to send Susan a kind thought please do so at somalley@royalpalmacademy.com. I am sure she would appreciate it.

MOLLY'S LIFE STORY
Molly was born in 1998 in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 2005. Molly and her brother Max have been inseparable all these years owning the living room couch and her private pillow and futon. She was a snow bunny up north but once she learned of the ability to make long walks outside year round she quickly became a Florida "bikini-babe" hanging out around the pool with her mom.

Molly and Max (Molly on the left) have always been "kitchen dogs" looking for a scrap of people food that might "accidentally" fall to the floor. Her mom was very careful not to feed them much people food but who could resist a nibble here or there?

Sam Watson (1992 - 2010)

On Sept 10th, Sam Watson left our people world to run over the Rainbows Bridge. He was such a world traveler sharing his life with LHAPS team member Vashti Watson traveling from Pennsylvania to Washington and then Florida.

Sam has always been a buddie to his younger kittie brother Andy. Although Sam preferred to be left alone to hang out, when the time was right he would romp with Andy like all cats do. Like all cook cats, he would ham it up for the camera.

Jack is survived by his mom Vashti and brother Andy in Naples, Florida.

Jack Dwyer (1998 - 2010)

On May 27 Jack Dwyer left our people world to run over the Rainbows Bridge. As with all Corgies, their big hearts make up for their short legs.

Jack has always been a best buddie to his gal-pal Rose and has always been a playful friend to our sheltie Rosi when we visited. His tennis ball will always remain a reminder of his spirits.

Jack is survived by his parents Janice and Frank and sibling Rose Dwyer.  The Dwyers have also brought a new friend into the family named Charlie and hopefully he will feel the love of Jack looking over them. Please light a candle in his memory to guide his spirit forward.

CASEY HANZ (1997 - 2010)

On January 23 Casey Hanz, born Feb 12, 1997, made his trip over the Rainbows Bridge hoping to find a flock of Canadian ducks in a sunshine filled pond.

He is survived by his parents Judith and Gerald Hanz, siblings Summer, Magic, and Damon.  Please light a candle in his memory to guide his spirit forward.

OUR BELOVED ROXI BREITHAUPT
(2000 - 2008)

We lost our Russian Blue, Roxi Breithaupt, a loving female on November 6th due to Addison's Disease which derives from deficient production of adrenal grand hormones from kidney failure. She fell from good health to passing in only one week.

She had been diagnosed with kidney infections about two months previous and we thought simple antibiotics had cleared it up. She suddenly became weak, stopped eating, and dehydrated about five days before passing. We quickly got her on fluid I.V. and antibiotics but apparently it was too much this time and she simply succumbed.

Interesting to our vet was her first blood tests did not expose the problems quickly but she had seen this once before and was treating another cat with it. Addisons is found in humans and dogs but rare in cats and you can read more about it at PetPlace.com .

Our business revolves around the love and caring of pets and the nearly human like characteristics they sometimes have. We will always remember her sitting on the window sill looking out and chasing her Florida lizard friend on the screen for hours. Like a video game, Mr. Lizard would run around on the screen but Roxi could never get to him. She loved it though and everyone laughed at these simple pleasures in life. The unlimited love these animals give in exchange for a warm and dry home, food, water, and a little attention is truly amazing and simply a gift from God and we cannot forget that.

GREEN THUMB NURSERY LOSES 3 CATS TO MAULING

We are horribly saddened by the loss of 3 beautiful cats at the Green Thumb Nursery. They were always running around outside playing and just wanting some love from the customers.

We therefore offer a little poem for their losses.

I AM NOT THERE
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

Various sources attribute this poem to the one of the following authors: Mary Frye, Joyce Fossen, an unknown member of the Hobi Native American Tribe.

RUDY BREITHAUPT (1992-2004)

Rudy was our second sheltie. He was very loving and very, very protective. He lived for two years along side of our current Sheltie (Rosi). He gave her the best training on how to love everyone...and how to beg for treats!

ROCKY BREITHAUPT (1991-1991)

Rocky was only with us a few weeks. We brought Rocky into our lives and he was a bundle of love. He was also such a curious little guy that loved to roam and run. One day the door was left open just a crack and he ran off. We looked everywhere but eventually found him after he was hit by a train. Our hearts ached for months ...he was so innocent.

It was a good lesson to everyone that pets are like kids and they will always look to learn something new. Please watch them every moment! They are so precious!

SKYLAR VETTER (1996-1999)

Skylar was Liberty's cat while attending Arizona State University. She had such brilliant white fur and a purr that sounded like a motor boat. She died of a seizure that we only think was due to genetic reasons. The vet could never figure it out. As always...enjoy your little loves...we lose them without any reasons sometimes.
