EMERGENCY PLANNING
The impact of emergencies can be lessened through some simple preparation. How do you get started with disaster preparedness? What if you have a Tornado, Hurricane, Flood, Earthquake, Fire? What if you are forced to evacuate your home or living area? What do you need?

QUICK REFERENCE FLIER - We built a quick one page flier with the most critical bullet list including disaster preparedness, evacuation planes, a disaster supply kit, and even some quick cutout emergency pet ID cards that can go in your wallet or with your pets or guardian. This flier downloads quickly in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

DETAILED EMERGENCY PLANNING - For more detailed emergency planning information feel free to download the complete (large) emergency planning document created by the National Association Of Professional Pet sitters (NAPPS).

C.E.R.T. - COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM OF COLLIER COUNTY
We at LHAPS are active members and strongly support the local CERT program. This is a great way for you to learn how to take care of yourself, your family and your neighbors in the event of an emergency. The CERT volunteer program has been formally endorsed by FEMA and is finally getting strong visibility. C.E.R. T. is a group of concerned citizens that is organized and receives seven weeks of training that enhances their ability to recognize, respond to, and recover from a major emergency or disaster. Previous emergency experience is not required. The seven-week course is free with all books and materials provided.
